Resveratrol is a polyphonic bioflavanoid compound with antioxidant properties most commonly found in grapes and wine, and it is believed to be the main ingredient responsible for some of wine’s health benefits.
Resveratrol is commonly taken as supplement for a number of benefits including supporting cardiovascular health and longevity. There is some evidence Resveratrol can support cognitive function via increased cerebral blood flow, but more research in this area is needed.
As a supplement for cardiovascular, cognitive, or longevity support we recommend taking between 2 – 4 capsules (500 – 1000 mg dosage) per day. It’s best to start with a 1-2 capsule dosage, and then to move up if you tolerate the product well and are looking for a more potent effect. We do not recommend exceeding 6 capsules per day.
Resveratrol has almost no water solubility, so it needs to be taken with a source of dietary fat for best absorption.
